Passenger vehicle sales crossed a record high of 4 million units in 2023, up 8% from previous year. India is the second-largest steel producer in the world, and is set to double production capacity by 2030.

Crossroads 2
Decisions on how to meet the energy growth in India and the developing world over the next decade will shape the trajectory of global carbon emissions, and whether we can keep global warming below 2ºC (or not).
